UK: New national child internet safety strategy
UK Prime Minister Gordon Brown will present a new national child internet safety strategy on December 8th, 2009. Dr Tanya Byron’s 2008 government review, Safer Children in a Digital World, led to the creation of the UK committee for child internet safety (UKCCIS). The committee comprises over 100 industry bodies, but the committee hasn’t been very active so far.
