Seattle: 28 students suspended for Cyberbullying
28 students from the McClure Middle school in Seattle, WA have been suspended for allegedly starting a Facebook page to bully a classmate. The students were suspended from two to eight days, depending on their involvement.
The suspension has started a debate on the Seattle Public Schools community blog, with questions about whether the school district has jurisdiction for “off-campus” activities. Some parents commented on the fact that many similar cases go unnoticed.
