Serbian ISP and Council of Europe join forces to promote online child safety
Serbian ISP SBB is promoting the Council of Europe’s Wild Web Woods game to the country’s youngsters. The game is available to millions of children on SBB’s web site. SBB (Serbia Broadband) is the country’s largest broadband and cable television service provider.
Wild Web Woods uses well known fairy tales to teach children about online dangers, and how to use the web safely. It has been translated into 24 languages as concern grows that youngsters are at risk of ‘internet grooming’ by sexual predators when they go online.
The Wild Web Woods game is just one of a range of child protection measures which the Council of Europe wants its 47 member states to adopt. The Council of Europe has made the fight against child abuse and exploitation a priority campaign in 2010.
