UK: Students suspended for cyber bullying
Two girls from The George Farmer Technology and Language College, Holbeach have been suspended for creating an Internet hate group about another student on the social networking site Facebook.
The victim's parent made a complaint to the school, and the students were suspended after the parent was encouraged by the college to make a formal complaint to police. The bullying students were reprimanded, and letters were sent to their parents from the police warning them that cyber bullying was unacceptable.
The suspension follows the college’s decision to take a strong stance against students using the Internet to bully their peers.
